From 2014 to 2016, Reed served as contributing correspondent for BBC Radio's The James Max Show, broadcasting from the network's world headquarters in London. In 2015, Reed was been appointed host of his first-ever solo radio show, #ReedOnAIR, broadcasting every Thursday night in prime-time on Toronto's #1 hit international music radio station AIR Toronto at 8pm and 11pm ET (8pm PT), and again on Fridays at 8pm BST/9pm CET for European audiences.

Reed has just returned from four months abroad, living and working in Hong Kong in fall 2016. He served as part of CNN International's news-gathering and digital teams covering the Asia-Pacific region.
While there, Reed contributed to the coverage a number of important breaking news stories including the death of the Thai King; the ongoing political turmoil in the Philippines under the current President; and other global stories like the 2016 protests in North Carolina and the Colombian plane crash that claimed the lives of an inspirational Brazilian soccer team.
